The Waco Police Department Special Crimes Cold Case Detectives are looking for the public's help in identifying the man in the image from a decomposed body that was located in 2008.

On Feb. 8, 2008, Waco Police were called to the 1600 block of Cherry St. on a questionable death investigation. On arrival, police met with the reporting person who was inspecting property on a vacant field when they found a decomposed body.

The body was sent for autopsy and determined the deceased to be a white male around age 50 plus or minus 10 years. He is estimated to be about 66 inches plus or minus two inches tall.

Waco PD Cold Case Detectives believe the deceased to have been homeless and living in a tent and could have died within a year of locating the remains. A DNA profile was obtained from the deceased; however, no identification has been made. No foul play is suspected at this time in the investigation.

The facial reconstruction was developed by a forensic artist with the Texas Department of Public Safety. The University of North Texas Center for Human Identification is currently in the process of utilizing forensic genealogy in an attempt to identify the male.

If you think you may know this individual, please call the Waco Police Department at 254-750-7619.
