Corey Edkin would have been 36 years old on June 11, 2020, but he has not been seen alive since October 12, 1986.

Corey Edkin was a 2-year-old boy who was last seen at his residence in New Columbia, Union County in Pennsylvania state.

The boy’s mother, Debbie Mowery reportedly placed Corey inside her bed and drove to the convenience store during the early morning hours of October 13 1986. Several other children and Mowery’s roommate remained at the residence while she reportedly went to the store.

Following the child being reported missing, an extensive search of the area, including the Susquehanna River, was conducted but no trace of the small blue-eyed boy, who was wearing gray pajamas, was ever found.

Investigators who worked the case neither believe in the likelihood of Corey walking away from the residence or that he was abducted by a third-party.

Pennsylvanian State Police Criminal Investigators acknowledge that Corey’s case has been closed and has been actively worked on for 34 years with leads stretching all over the United States. Recently, however, criminal investigators have made significant advances in the case.

Investigators cite cooperation from individuals with information pertaining to the disappearance as well as advances in forensic technology as the reasons for the recent progress.

“I’m confident the individuals who caused this tragedy will be brought to justice,” said lead investigator Trooper Brian Watkins.
