The Riverside County DA’s Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public’s help in solving the case of a woman who went missing 36 years ago. On December 26, 1988, the Perris Police Department discovered the body of a woman near 330 E. 4th Street, in the City of Perris. Police were unable to identify the victim and the case remained unsolved.

In October 1978, the partial skeletal remains of an unidentified individual were discovered on the property of what was then the Volusia County FFA Agriculture Farm. The land in DeLand, Florida now belongs to the Volusia County Farm Bureau.

United States Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero announced that John Nusslein, 20, of Philadelphia, PA, was sentenced today by United States District Court Judge John M. Younge to 300 months’ imprisonment, five years of supervised release, restitution of $5,300, and a $300 special assessment, in connection with the carjackings of two food delivery drivers in Northeast Philadelphia during November and December of 2021.

After finally identifying a “Jane Doe” murder victim in Florida from 52 years ago earlier this year, police have now identified the person most likely responsible for the killing. Authorities last week said during a press conference that Jerry Lee Fletcher, who died in prison in 2014, is the individual responsible for the death of his ex-wife Peggy Joyce Shelton in Hillsborough County.

The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has confirmed the identity of skeletal remains discovered in Towamencin Township earlier this year. The remains have been identified as those of Isaias Hernandez-Geronimo, a 34-year-old male who had recently moved to the United States.
