Detectives Seek Tips in 2006 Double Homicide of Mother, Daughter

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit detectives continue to seek the public’s help in solving the 2006 double homicide that occurred on Pinnacle Lake Trail on July 11, 2006. Mary Cooper, who was 56 years old at the time, was hiking on Pinnacle Lake Trail with her daughter, Susanna Stodden, who was 27 years old. Their bodies were discovered along the trail, both having suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
 
The Pinnacle Lake Trail is located in the National Forest off the Mountain Loop Highway, east of Granite Falls and Verlot.
