Authorities last week said during a press conference that Jerry Lee Fletcher, who died in prison in 2014, is the individual responsible for the death of his ex-wife Peggy Joyce Shelton in Hillsborough County.

The Riverside County DA’s Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public’s help in solving the case of a woman who went missing 36 years ago. On December 26, 1988, the Perris Police Department discovered the body of a woman near 330 E. 4th Street, in the City of Perris. Police were unable to identify the victim and the case remained unsolved.

Thirty-seven years ago on October 13, 1987, a newborn baby was found discarded and dead inside a dumpster behind a business in the 5400 block of La Sierra Avenue. A man rummaging for recyclables found the baby. The newborn girl’s death was ruled a homicide by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.

In September 2023, the partial skeletal remains of an unidentified individual were discovered by a maintenance diver at the Lawrence Hydroelectric Plant in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Lawrence is located north of Boston on the Merrimack River. The remains were found approximately 60 feet underwater along with a blue shirt, a black jacket, and a pair of thermal underwear pants, all of which were found against the water intake grate.

On February 14, 1985, Ms. McAdams was found severely beaten and deceased inside an apartment in the 2500 block of Walnut Hill Circle. Tony Covington, State’s Attorney for Charles County, announced that on Friday, August 23, 2024, Charles County Circuit Court Judge H. James West sentenced Andre Taylor, 63, to Life in prison for the First-Degree Murder of Vickie Lynn Belk. Taylor was convicted of the aforementioned charge by a Charles County jury on July 18, 2024.
