Joel Mullins is a Lieutenant with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, where he has served since 2007. He attended St. Petersburg College, earning a bachelor’s degree in public safety administration and an associate’s degree in Crime Scene Technology. Joel earned his Crime Scene Analyst certification in 2012 through the IAI and attended the National Forensic Academy in 2013.

He began conducting latent print examinations in 2016 and provides professional training to sworn personnel on the proper collection and preservation of evidence. His background includes extensive experience in crime scene processing, forensic analysis, and law enforcement operations.
