Kayli Carrillo is a doctoral student at Sam Houston State University in the Department of Forensic Science. Her research interests include optimizing DNA collection, extraction, and enhancement methods for low-template (LT-DNA) samples. Prior to attending Sam Houston, Kayli received a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of North Texas.
