Hair Analysis Shows Child Drug Use May be Twice as High as Previously CalculatedA new paper in the American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse shows a 9% increase in substance use numbers when hair analysis results are added to self-reporting results. Investigators recovered an almost-complete skeleton of a female individual and several distinct articles of clothing associated with the remains. Advanced DNA testing and forensic genetic genealogy revealed that the remains found in 2021 were displaced by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
