The Fremont County Coroner has identified the body of a man whose skeletal remains were found in September 2016.

The remains were found by a hiker in the west end of Fremont County on Sept. 28, 2016. Through DNA, authorities were able to identify the body as Remzi Nesfield, who was estimated to be 23 at the time of his death.

Fremont County Coroner Randy Keller had asked for the public's help in identifying Nesfield in July when he invited media to photograph a facial reconstruction that had been created by Dr. Daniel Marion of Denver to assist with the possible identification of the remains.
