A young woman was found dead in a hotel freezer on the outskirts of Chicago over the weekend, and the many unanswered questions surrounding the investigation have led to widespread speculation.

The police have said that the woman, Kenneka Jenkins, 19, attended a party at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the Village of Rosemont, Ill., just northwest of Chicago, on Friday night. She was declared missing on Saturday, and investigators found her body in a walk-in freezer on Sunday morning. The cause of her death remains unclear.
