IGG Helps Exonerate Brothers of 1987 MurderEven though the DNA evidence did not match the Bintz brothers, a judge sentenced them to life in prison. The 58-year-old taxi driver was murdered as he turned into the Pitfoldels Station Road area of the city on the evening of September, 29, 1983. A cheese wire was used in the attack. A man who fled the UK after being charged with rape over 25 years ago has been jailed for the offenses, as well as a further count of rape that came to light after a forensics breakthrough. To help tackle the problem of locating hidden graves, we have trialed two innovative techniques for searching underground: ground-penetrating radar and electrical resistivity tomography, or ERT. It’s been two years since the skeletal remains of a man were found in a field near Avondale and investigators are still seeking information on his identity. |
