Report Shows Huge Increase in Use of ‘Gas Station Heroin’According to CFSRE, Poison Control Center cases involving tianeptine exposure increased nationwide from 11 total cases between 2000 and 2013 to 151 cases in 2020. On Aug. 8, 1993, two men were hiking along a creek bed in a remote area off of Pine Flat Road in Healdsburg, California, when they discovered the skeletonized remains of a woman. The case went cold ... The victim's 18-month-old son was found alone in a hotel room where she was staying in Sacramento, and the now-identified woman was not heard from again. There are at least seven confirmed cases of misidentification due to facial recognition technology, six of which involve Black people who have been wrongfully accused. The laboratory will allow researchers and interagency law enforcement professionals to rapidly use DNA evidence to investigate and prosecute wildlife trafficking in northern Botswana. |
