The goal of this study was to begin developing a protocol that yields reproducible results—a necessary step toward a reliable, validated field-based method. The new lab will focus on high-throughput DNA testing, which comprises about 20% of all ISP forensic cases in the laboratory system. The protocol will guide the clinical practice of conducting comprehensive assessments for patients experiencing intimate partner violence (IPV) that prioritize the patient’s health and well-being. |
