Following training in Casper, Wyo., Lander Police Crime Techs Solin Ryder and Sean Weathers have worked with their follow officers on crime scene evidence documentation. Over the last couple weeks the officers have done class work as well, practicing documenting a fake crime scene in the department’s garage.
“This is a patrol level class,” Ryder said in a brief interview during the training yesterday.
In the garage, separate teams of officers observed a crime scene, walked through it, identified potential evidence, worked through documentation of the overall scene and took detailed and scaled photos of each piece of evidence.
