Crime Lab Teaches Police to be More Efficient
Feb 21, 2012The director of the Wisconsin State Crime Lab provided training in evidence processing to law enforcement officers from across the region.
With fake crime scenes set up throughout the Green Bay Police Department, he trained officers in basic crime scene collection and evidence.
The Wisconsin Crime Lab, like others across the country, are struggling to keep up with backlogs in the face of limited resources. If officers submit evidence properly packaged and properly documented, the crime lab can be more efficient.
It's a proactive step that's a critical one for the state justice system.
