Bacon Burglar Identified Through Forensics
Jul 09, 2010Johnny Hicks of Camano Island, Washington, was charged with residential burglary after a fingerprint linked him to the robbery of frozen bacon, a frozen pizza, and some drinks stolen from a garage freezer.
The homeowner said that someone had taken frozen bacon and a pizza from the freezer then partially consumed both of them. The intruder chewed up and spit out the raw bacon, though some if it was charred in an unsuccessful attempt to cook it with a candle or lighter.
When questioned, Hicks denied any recollection of the crime but claimed it was possible he was too drunk to remember the incident.
