A2LA’s Internal Auditing class will be offered in Detroit/Livonia, Mich., on September 24-25, 2012. Over the course of two days, attendees will learn internationally recognized approaches to conducting effective internal audits as well as ways to motivate others to participate. The techniques learned promote the involvement of laboratory personnel, allowing their system to work harder for them, than they are working for it. The course includes easy-to-implement methods for continual improvement and preparing for external assessments. Topics covered will include how to plan and conduct internal audits within laboratories, auditing principles and techniques, and required skills. There will also be an opportunity to speak with one of the authors of the standard who can explain exactly what is expected.  This course is targeted to all laboratory staff members who participate in the operation of the laboratory management system.
