A forensic analyst has conceded in the Western Cape High Court that it’s highly unlikely that hair found in the clenched fist of axe attack survivor, Marli van Breda, belongs to her brother Henri.

Henri van Breda stands accused of murdering his parents and brother at the Stellenbosch home in 2015.

He has pleaded not guilty, saying a balaclava-clad man had attacked the family.

Police forensic analyst Henry Stuart analysed various hair samples from the Van Breda home. Stuart was especially questioned on the single strand of hair that was found in Marli's hand.
