Forensic Lab Examines Student's Cell Phones
Eleventh Judicial District Attorney Thom LeDoux said it could take up to a month to finish the forensic analysis of cellphones taken in its investigation of three potential sexting cases at Buena Vista High School.
LeDoux noted the lab still had several cellphones that needed to be evaluated as of Jan. 8. While LeDoux said the lab still needs to review info and data removed from the phones before they will know how or if to proceed with charges, he said that this investigation appeared to be similar in nature to the sexting scandal at Cañon City High School.
In December, LeDoux’s office, which oversees Chaffee, Custer, Fremont and Park counties, announced that they would not be pressing charges against any of the 106 students involved in that case.
