These seasoned industry experts have clocked thousands of hours investigating crime scenes, analyzing criminal evidence in the laboratory or teaching at acclaimed institutions. They include faculty from prestigious universities, seasoned police captains with decades of experience at metropolitan agencies, top legal scholars and policy makers, and prominent political advisers.
"The creation of the board is part of our larger vision to provide our readership with the best quality content possible. In 2015, we instituted a number of changes including hiring new real-time science writers to get up-to-the-minute, exclusive content. We also revamped our print and online editions to provide clean and effective information to our readers. Thanks to these, and many other efforts, our online viewership increased twofold in 2015—and we’re excited to see what the rest of 2016 brings," commented Bea Riemschneider, Editorial Director, Science Group.
"The new board will be instrumental in keeping with this new approach to covering the forensic sciences," said Editor Sean Allocca. "We will provide premium exclusive coverage, amass a growing number of expert voices, and champion integrity and scientific accuracy in all our reporting."
