Toxicology drug screening and drug confirmation is possible with the Laser Diode Thermal Desorption (LDTD) technology. LDTD coupled with mass spectrometry offers the same analytical performance as any LC-MSMS systems and is an alternative to the problems encountered with conventional technologies and techniques. Drug screening is very fast: 10 seconds/sample. LDTD-MS/MS allows for high specificity, sensitivity down to low ng/mL, and a limited number of drugs can be screened per analysis.
