Dr. Paul Ferrara is the former Director of the Virginia Department of Forensic Science (1985-2006). Dr. Ferrara was a member, co-author, and consultant to the National Academy of Sciences, National Research Council Reports on the Use of DNA Technology in Forensic Science. He also was a member of the National Commission on the Future of DNA Evidence.
