Nicola Oldroyd, BSc is a Senior Forensic Scientist in the Forensic Science Applications group in the Applied Markets division of Applied Biosystems. In her current role, Nicola is part of a team of forensic scientists who define user requirements for new human identification products and provide training and support to Applied Biosystems technical staff and customers worldwide. She gained her forensic experience working with the Forensic Science Service in the UK with responsibilities including development of new multiplex short tandem repeat systems and support of the implementation of the UK National DNA Database. Ms. Oldroyd gained her Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Nottingham.
